Suntop Lookout is located 3 miles northeast of Mt. Rainier, Washington within the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Built in 1932, it is one of only two L-4 ground house structures remaining on the old Snoqualmie National Forest. It was used as an Aircraft Warning site in World War 2 and the road to it was not completed until 1956. Located in a high alpine meadow with excellent views of Winthrop Glacier, the lookout is a popular tourist destination and is staffed by volunteers.
