Pfeiffer Beach is one of the best hidden secrets along the Big Sur coast. The place is always windy - expect to get sand-blasted; thus, the water is always wavy - expect to get wet!

The best place to watch the waves is Pfeiffer Arch which, at low water, can be approached, using extreme caution. We don't recommend entering the arch since the waves inside are really unpredictable and can be quite powerful!

Of course, where there are waves, there are surfers. (left)

But be careful, the waves might actually knock your socks off... (right)
