Just off Highway 51 is the Fort Jefferson overlook of the Mississippi River near Wickliffe, Kentucky. There is plenty of parking and the spot can not be missed with a huge cross at the top of the hill. Three miles to the north, is the Confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.
