Eagle Hotel was built as a stage stop and hotel by David Lizer in 1836.
Since then it has also been a warehouse, tavern, bank, and storefront.
Today, it is considered the "Wilmington Area Historical Society Museum" eventhough it sits vacant awaiting repairs and tender loving care after a fire in 1990.
