When the Y2K bug was a 'threat' and many thought the world was going to grind to a halt on Jan. 1, 2000, the people of the Fredericksburg area had a party on New Year's Eve and buried a time capsule for future generations.
It is located on the grounds of the old Town Hall/Market House which serves as the Fredericksburg Area Museum today.
