We spotted this 1965 Rolls-Royce Limousine with a John Lennon inspired paint job. It was the feature vehicle for the exhibit.
Incidently, The Henry Ford Museum also has the JFK Limousine.
An overwhelming day to say the least.
Musician John Lennon originally owned this 1965 Rolls Royce Phantom V. The car was painted matte black when he purchased it and over the next few years he added “enhancements” including a television, refrigerator, telephone and custom-built rear bed.
The psychadelic paint job was applied in 1967 in England and reportedly offended many British subjects who considered the Rolls Royce the ultimate icon of British auto-making and nobility.
