First National Bank Building (1917)

This second renaissance revival, white terra cotta structure is distinguished by its engaged Doric columns, round arched windows, pedimented entry, cornice and parapet.  The building went through extensive restoration in the 1980s and received the Orchid Award from the Idaho State Historic Society in 1988.  Built originally to house the First National Bank of Wallace, it was charted in 1892.  This was the first nationally charted bank in Shoshone County. ~ Guide to Historic Wallace, Idaho
