Dennis Vineyards is a modest and growing winery in Albemarle, NC. They grow their own fruit and produce a nice variety of very good muscadine wines.

Dennis Vineyards started out as a hobby. The owner and his father have been making wine for years. He eventually started making communion wine for his church. When his production started to exceed 200 gallons (and his wife started to complain that this hobby was taking over the house), he decided he needed to get more serious. He is a true entrepreneur.
Our winery tour was given by the owner himself. It was a delight talking with him. We learned a lot about making wine. He took us through the process from harvest to bottle.
It's a small winery, and most of the production and bottling is done by hand. If you like muscadine wine, this is the place to go! And, their prices are very reasonable for hand-crafted wines.
The vineyard is set in rolling hills in rural central North Carolina. The area is just beautiful all year round. They have fairly recently opened a party hall and have a gazebo on a pond.
