The historical museum is one of the many stops on the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail supported by the National Park Service.

The museum is open Monday - Friday (9:00-5:00)

Featuring history of Cherokee County, the Museum has more than 2000 authentic artifacts of the Cherokee Indians on display including the following items:

Arrowheads
Pottery
Pipes
Game stones
Bowls
Axes
Celts
Houseware items
Tools from early settlers.
