Elfin Forest Reserve to Frank's Peak Petroglyphs

The ranger at Elfin Forest told Tuna that these rock carvings are estimated to be more than 500 years old. The views of surrounding peaks from up here are nothing short of incredible. This cache is mountain bike and on-trusty-foot accessible.
You’ll see two large, flat boulders with carvings into the stone of shapes that appear to be the sun, moon, and animals. The petroglyphs are located at N 33° 05.689 W 117° 08.497.

BEST PLACE TO BEGIN
There is a gated paved drive about 100 yards east and across the street from the Elfin Forest parking lot entrance heading directly up the mountain. It is posted No Trespassing, however, the property owner, Dennis, a really nice fella, has given permission for geocachers to enter on foot up that road. He asks that you keep control of your dogs and don't allow them to run free and scare quail. If you should meet him, just show him your GPS and a copy of these instructions.
