Located on Lake Street in Amherst, Ohio, the Lorain County Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a tribute to the 98 servicemen from the County who died in Vietnam. The black granite monument is engraved on the front with their names, and on the back with a bible verse (Matthew 5:9) and dedication. The granite monument is topped with a bronze eagle and draped flag, and encircled by flags representing each of the armed forces, the POW*MIA flag, the Ohio burgee, and the United States flag. The memorial was dedicated on 23 June 2007.
