Artist Statement: Pulsar is part of a series of works that have both mechanical and animalistic qualities. The work is finely crafted of a hard and unforgiving material, but there are projections like legs and a ring form like a head. These factors combine to create a sculpture that is reminiscent of a living thing but is uniquely mechanical and manufactured.
