The Walt Disney Concert Hall opened in 2003. The Concert Hall, with the ability to seat 2,265 people, is the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Its distinctive styling makes the hall stand out as compared to the other buildings in the Los Angeles Music Center. The overall look of the building is similar to that of the Guggenheim Museum in Spain and the Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago.
The unusual shape of the buildings faces and the finish of the surface had caused reflections of the sun's rays to focus on areas on the sidewalk and local residences. To aleviate the problem, the building was analyzed and certain faces were dulled to correct the issues.
