This Lutheran Church's design incorporates a modern take on steeple design. The steeple becomes the major portion of the building and stretches 40 feet into the air with the rest of the building a low one story section that stretches out behind the monstrous steeple facing the roadway. I can't say that the design works well, but it does grab people's attention.
At the top of the steeple is an angled stained glass window and I imagine it's very beautiful to see it lit up above the sanctuary.
We have always called the building "Our Lady of the Ku Klux Klan" as from the side the church looks like a Klansman's hat. Most unfortunate likeness for a church.
