In 1971 a team of archaeologists discovered the impressions of a Hopewell House that was almost 2000 years old! When the area was excavated they discovered many mica fragments and flint knifes along with pottery shards and animal bones leading the archaeologists to believe that this house was occupied by a craftsman who cut ornaments from sheets of the mineral using the flint knives.
