Long Description:
This is a 1993 FEMA Hazard Mitigation Project. Recognizing the many values of wetland habitat, FEMA placed water control structures and embankments across a large drainage ditch to restore a 1,000 acre wetland to hold flood waters that once reached the Big Sioux River.
