Blue Star Memorial Highway is located at the Lafayette Welcome Center, located just a short distance from the intersections of I-10 and Hwy 167 in Lafayette, the heart of Cajun Country.

According to the Blue Star Memorial Webpage, this Blue Star was placed on June 1952, at the Roadside Park on Highway 167 North.
The street name is NW Evangeline Thwy. The sign is in front of the Welcome Center. The Welcome center is located in the center of Hwy 167, less than a mile south of I-10. The Welcome Center has a pond full of fish, turtles and ducks. The pond has a boardwalk that cuts right through it. The gardens are beautiful with flowers.
