By 1924, when the Church of Christ was built on the corner opposite Bethany Reformed, the late Gothic Revival style of Butler churches had become more sedate.

The lines of this church building are more classical than those of earlier Butler churches, stained glass is almost absent from the building, and most of the decorative features are limited to the beautifully carved entrance doors.
