The Walter Pyramid at the Cal State Long Beach campus is the home to University and community sports activities. The pyramid is large enough to house nine volleyball courts or three full size basketball courts.
In March 2006, the pyramid was named the Walter Pyramid in honor of Dr. Mike and Arline Walter, past dean of the School of Business and supporter of the University.
The pyramid is 345 feet on each side of the base making it a perfect square.
