This house, one of the oldest in Cambridge, is the headquarters and museum of the Cambridge Historical Society.

Plaque says:

"Built by physician Richard Hooper. Home of Jos. Lee, Mandamus Councilor and a founder of Christ Church, later home of George Nichols. 1685 - 1760"

The house is on Brattle Street, a main road that connects Cambridge and Watertown. The museum is open for tours and include exhibits where portions of the wall can be 'peeled away' to look at wallpaper and structure underneath to se how portions of the house were built. Also, there are exhibits in the rooms that show life in Cambridge. Web Site: (visit link)
