This 1GL cut mark is located on an old milestone in Penmaenmawr. The milestone is located close to the junction of Ffordd Conwy and Hen Ffordd Conwy.

The mark does not appear to be in the modern OS database. In the abstract for the 1GL Warrington to Pembroke Docks levelling line the surveyor's description is 'Mark on the 10th milestone from Bangor ; 1.54 ft. above surface' and it was mark No. 249 along this levelling line. It is shown at a height of 113.0960ft above the Liverpool datum.
