The resting place of this veteran can be a little tricky to find. It is located in Salem Cemetery in the Egypt Valley State Wildlife Area near Hendrysburg, Ohio.

Darby Murphy was a veteran of the Revolutionary War, and interestingly enlisted in service just 13 days after the United States declared its independence. The headstone is a little unusual in that it lists no date of birth or death. It almost appears as if the original headstone was replaced, and they possibly couldn't read the old one, and didn't have records for him.
