This is a beautiful Class II/II+ Whitewater runin extreme western Arkansas. It take quite a bit of rain in just the right places to make it run, but when it does it attracts boaters from 200+ miles away. More detail can be found on American Whitewater's River Page. Parking/put-in/launching information: Access to the put in is just off the Hwy 246 bridge and has 10-12 paved parking spaces. There is a forrest service style pit toilet, but no sinks or changing room.
 Paddling conditions to be expected: 5 miles of near continuous Class II whitewater.
 Difficulty of the trip: All paddlers should be familiar with basic self-rescue and boat control.
 Length of trip: 5.4 miles
 Portages: none.
 Permits required: none. However, on all Arkansas waterways is it illegal to bring any glass beverage containers, all beverage containers or food muct be in a latched closed cooler (or the one you are drinking must have a floating coozie), and all trash must be secured in a study bag attached to the craft.
Also all persons must have a PFD in the boat, and minors must be wearing theirs.
 Type of trip: Shuttle over forrest service gravel roads, accessible to all vehicles, with the possible exception of RV's.
