The following text is from chicagoarchitecture.info:
With its long, low lines, squat roof, and bunker-like entry, this is undeniably a Frank Lloyd Wright home. Elegance is achieved through simplicity, and the second-story line of art glass windows mirrors the void in the story below. The entry is reminiscent of a railway tunnel, and in this case the house has been perfectly matched with a pair of wide planters flanking the door. The design is both “look at me” and “go away” at the same time.
This is a private residence so please respect the owners and do your viewing from the sidewalk.
