The plaque which locates the time capsule reads as follows. The citizens National Bank of Bowling Green, Bowling Green, Kentucky, July 1, 1976, To commemorate America's Bicentennial and the Anniversary of the Citizens National Bank, there is housed within this building known as Main Place: Time Capsule No. 1, Sealed July 1, 1976 to be opened July 1, 2076, Time Capsule No. 2, Sealed July 1, 1976 to be opened July 1, 2176. Contents of the capsules are: Newspapers, radio tapes, Video tapes, signatures and messages from area citizens, books, pictures, reports and other items of interest to future generations.
