The film location is located in Italy, nearby Lenno on lake Como. The city is on the westcoast of the lake.
The exact location is a little bit outside of Lenno. The area at lake Como has many of these villas with their magnificent gardens. But this one is one of the loveliest.
You can reach it by taxiboat (5 EURO) from Lenno or on foot. There are some signs at the harbour showing you the way. It takes about half an hour.
There is an entrance fee: 5 EURO adults and 2,50 EURO childrens (Sept 2003)
The villa consists of 3 buildings. You won´t find buildings with a dome, like in the movie (CG...). The terrace where Anakin and Padme married is located at backside. The archway, on wich anakin stands after his nightmare is nearby the buildings. Everything has an spontaneous recognition value.
Opening hours (september 2003):
Open 1. april until 31. october
Tuesday, from 10am until 1pm and from 2pm until 6pm.
Saturday, sunday and on holidays from 10am through 6pm.
Thursday and friday accessible only by boat from Lenno, opening hours unknown.
Last entry 30 min before closing.
