The Apple Valley Recreational Loop Trail is 13 miles total. It goes around the Columbia River and over two bridges. It has a spur that extends up towards Rock Island. There are many entrances to the Loop trail, and most of them are a named park.

This is the Walla Walla Point Park entrance.

The park is 70 acres total, and probably has the most recreational focus of all the parks along the Loop Trail. It is large and open, with good access to the Columbia River. During 4th of July, this is where the majority of people congregate. The openness makes it easy to see and fits large numbers of people. The fireworks are launched from the little island vertical to the park beach. There is also a stage set up for entertainment for the 4th.

Picnic shelter reservations accepted. Call (509) 661-4551 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.
