A flag pole, a mortar and a plaque, reading "Dedicated to the boys who fought over seas in 1917" are the cetral pieces to Manteca's Liberty Plot - a section of Park View Cemetery, where World War One veterans were put to rest. This cemetery opened in 1917 and most likely some of the first people burried here were war veterans, which is why this field has such a central location in the cemetery.
