This one got the ball rolling at break-neck speed. We were trolling through Flint looking for neon when we came across the Night Hawks sign. Took the usual pics and the coordinates, went home and looked to see what we could find out about it. Nothing.
Then we found a picture of it lit on Flickr, but in a diffrent location. "Were there 2 signs?"
Nope, it was own loan for the production of "Semi-Pro" a movie about a minor league basketball team in Flint called the "Tropics" starring Will Ferrell and Woody Harrelson.
The Night Hawks sign is now back at the Dort Mall in Flint with the rest of Bob Perani's collection. It's been waymarked here:
