Tucson Arizona Historic Train Depot - Train Stations/Depots on Waymarking.com

Today there are only a couple passenger trains that pass through each week in each direction but at one time it was Tucson only reliable link to the rest of the country. Stores and a restaurant are the busiest parts of the depot now. Across the street is Congress Hotel where the passengers stayed, including John Dillinger and his gang.

Locomotive #1673, built in 1900, and used in the movie Oklahoma, is here and restored to it's original glory. The Southern Arizona Transportation Museum is in a side building with a nice history of transportation in Tucson and Arizona.
