Lydford War Memorial commemorates those villagers who gave their lives in the first and second world wars. The Memorial stands at the cross roads in the village centre. A ceremony was held by the memorial during the 1920's when the memorial cross was erected. As you can see from the photo each year poppies are laid at the foot of the memorial in remembrance of those who lost their lives.
