There is now a 'graded' 4wd track to the top; but if it has recently rained it will be very slippery, and I recommend the walk any way.
Nearby there is a geocache 'Khatabundah Caper' GC13EZY; so make the most of the view on a good day and grab a cache as well.
Easiest way for directions is to turn off the Comboyne Rd at Machins Sawmill north of Wingham, head west (for 1 km), then north, and north-west to a smaller sawmill. Leave the 2wd there and hike up. Or, see how far you are willing to take your 4wd! It does get steep, but largely manageable.
Alternative route off Murrays Rd, up Garman Creek north past a quarry, then east up to the ridge. (Both ways slippery in the wet)
The top has been recently logged (2007) so there are better views than 5 years ago.
