[FR] Le Jardin de Petrarque est un agréable petit parc en plein coeur de Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, situé sur les bords de la Sorgue et dominé par les ruines du château-fort médiéval.
L'endroit abrite également un musée dédié au poète et humaniste Petrarque.
Francesco Petrarca ou Pétrarque (20 juillet 1304 à Arezzo, en Toscane - 19 juillet 1374 à Arquà Petrarca, dans la province de Padoue en Vénétie) était un érudit, poète et humaniste Italien. Avec Dante, il compte parmi les « géants » de la littérature italienne et tous deux sont considérés comme les pères de la Renaissance en Italie.
Accès au parc : l'accès est gratuit, et possible de 07h00 à 22h00.
Pour y accéder, suivez la direction du musée de Petrarque. Ou bien, de la place centrale, franchissez la Sorgue en direction du château ; dans le virage de la route de Cavaillon, passez par le tunnel taillé dans la roche : vous déboucherez dans le parc.
[ENG] The Petrach's Garden is a pleasant and small park in heart of Fountain-of-Vaucluse, located on the edges of Sorgue river and dominated by the ruins of the medieval castle.
The place also shelters a museum dedicated to the poet and humanist Petrarch.
Francesco Petrarca or Petrarch (July 20, 1304 Arezzo, in Tuscany - July 19, 1374 Arquà Petrarca, in the province of Padoue in Venezia) was a scholar, poet and humanist Italian. With Dante, it counts among the “giants” of the Italian literature and both are regarded as the fathers of the Rebirth in Italy.
Access to the park: access is free, and possible from 07h00 to 22h00. To reach it, follow the direction of the Petrach's museum.
