Inside of the main entrance to Forest Lawn Cemetery stands a bronze statue of a fireman on top of a granite pedestal. Engraved on the pedestal is the names of seven firefighters who died while fighting fires, dating from the mid-1800s to the late 1800s. It was erected by the Firemen's Benevolent Association in 1901. Surrounding the monument in a circle are the headstones of approximately 100 other firemen who are buried here.
