Windsor House, which opened for business in 1840, was considered the finest public house between Boston and Montreal.



Today, Windsor House is owned by Historic Windsor, Inc. which, through the Preservation Institute, promotes the preservation of historic and architecturally significant properties. It is also home of the Vermont State Craft Center. Continuing a tradition of Vermont’s skilled craftsmen, the Center showcases and sells works of contemporary artists, artisans and craftspeople.
