This scenic viewpoint is located in Bend, Oregon and provides a 360° view of central Oregon including the Cascade Peaks from Mt. Bachelor to Mt. Adams.

This state park was established on Sept. 30, 1928 much of the butte, the summit road and summit viewpoint were given to the State as a state park for the enjoyment of the citizens of Oregon. The summit road begins at the butte’s west base and spirals to the summit where interpretive displays describe the view and history of the area. The road is closed to autos during the winter season (Nov-Apr) due to icy conditions.
There is also a trailhead at the eastern base (N 44° 03.463’ W 121° 16.729’) where two trails lead to the summit (one shares the road with autos).

Activities: Viewpoint, trails, and interpretive signs.
Park Fees: No Fees today on a Saturday. It was a nice way to spend 9/11 to celebrate the world still around us in it's beauty!
