The M110A2 Self-propelled 8-inch artillery were introduced in 1963. It has a bore of 8 inches (or 203 mm). It has a crew of 13 with 5 on the chassis and the others riding in a support vehicle. The weapon has a sustained fire rate of one round per 2 minutes and maximum rate up to 4 rounds in 3 minutes. Only the driver has armor protection which was one of its shortfalls. The cannon range is 13.2 miles with regular rounds and 18 miles with rocket assisted shells. The M110A2 is being phased out and being replaced by Multiple-Launch Rocket System (MLRS)
