The mifflin county courthouse was placed on the National Registry of Historical Places in 1976. It is currenty the home of the Historical Society & Library, Visitors Bureau and Chamber of Commerce. There is a wealth of information about mifflin county's History housed here. It's period of significants was between 1825-1849. It has a clocktower that works and rings every hour on the hour.
