Albert Henry Woolson was the last surviving member of the Union Army, which fought in the American Civil War.

Albert was born on February 11, 1847. He answered President Lincoln's call to arms and marched off to war as a drummer boy at the age of 17.

Albert Henry Woolson died on August 2nd, 1956 at the age of 109 years. Albert was the sole officially listed survivor of more then 2,200, 000 men of the Union Armed Forces.
