The General Robert E. Lee Monument was designed by Frederick Sievers.

The monument honors the South's great General Robert E. Lee, as well as the Virginia Soldier's that fought and dies in the Battle of Gettysburg.

The seven figures below the General Robert E. Lee statue are made up to represent the Army of Northern Virginia. The figures, a Cavalry Colorbearer, Artillery Bugler, and five figures to represent individuals from all walks of life.
