The following excerpt is from the book
Utah: A Guide to the State and can be found in driving tour 4a.
US30-S crosses the WYOMING LINE, 0 m., 5 miles west of Evanston, Wyoming (see Wyoming guide) along gently rolling hills matted with wild grass and scrubby brush, where livestock graze and browse. The desert here has a moving beauty at dusk when the hills roll out under the sky in magical velvet tones of silver-blue and violet. Between the Wyoming Line and Echo Junction, US30-S is combined with US 189. p. 354
Part of team Hikenutty grew up in Evanston, Wyoming and we think that the above excerpt is VERY generous in its description of this area. About all that we would keep to describe it is "rolling hills matted with wild grass and scrubby brush, where livestock graze". The fact that they have to point out the border crossing as a spot to stop for excitement may point out to you the lack of possibilities for entertainment in this region.
If you Drive south a few miles into Utah you can experience a bit more beauty in the stark ruggedness of Echo canyon.
