It's difficult to see from the highway, so be sure to pull off at the Fife's Peak scenic pullout and go see the view.

The following excerpt is from
Washington: A Guide to the Evergreen Stated and is taken for the driving tour 2.
Looming north of the road is FIFE'S PEAK (6,954 alt.), the highest point of Fife's Ridge. Geologists believe it to be a remnant of an old volcano, which was probably the source of some of the lava flows of Yakima County.
These coordinates are for a viewpoint which is along the Mather Memorial Parkway in Mt. Rainier National Park and it showcases the Monolithic Fife's Peak. I've lived here all of my life, travelled Hwy 410 countless times and had never seen the peak until we pulled over to stretch our legs and got out of the car to walk around. You have to pull in to this viewpoint parking area to see Fife's Peak because of tree cover along the road. Well you could hike up there too, but this will save you a little work. It's a nice little rest stop on the way up to Mount Rainier.
