This private residence, the oldest known surviving building in Mansfield, is a bit hard to see, even from the circular driveway. There's a Texas Historical Marker next to the driveway.

Ralph Sandiford Man is considered the "Father of Mansfield". He lived and worked here until his death in 1906. This property, 368 acres at the time, was purchased by him in 1865. The core of this home is a log cabin constructed about 1865 and enlarged in 1868.
