It is speculated that Jules Leffland was the architect of this 1902 Queen Anne Victorian built for Dr. Daniel H. Braman.

Braman’s father received 640 acres along the coast of Matagorda County as payment for volunteering to the Texas army in the War of Independence. Like many coastal residents, after the 1886 hurricane, his family took their ranching wealth and moved inland.
