Historical Look-Out Tower (Lighthouse) in Paterswolde, the Netherlands. Location: at the border of 'het Paterswoldse meer', a lake for sailing, surfing and swimming.
In the previous century this lighthouse was designed and build as a 'high' look-out tower, a part of a big children playground which does not exist anymore. The only remains are the Lighthouse and the restaurant. The old former restaurant is rebuild to a modern one (De Twee Provinciën), which has a very nice pavement with a great view over the lake.
In the restaurant's corridor you could have a look at 2 big frames with many old picture postcards on which you can discover the ancient childrens playground and it's historical surroundings. Nice to see, impossible to photograph.
The lake 'het Paterswoldse meer' has an important touristic function in this area and is well known about it's recreational values.
