The department also provides emergency medical services to Peterborough, Sharon, Dublin, Francestown, Greenfield, and Hancock. The department also helps cover neighboring towns in emergency situations.
By way of radio page from the Southwestern New Hampshire District Fire Mutual Aid System, firefighter and EMS personnel are notified of a call for help and respond to the Peterborough Station. The PFR responds to over 1000 calls each year.
Members of the department undergo continual training to maintain and expand their skills. We also have a strong commitment to the community with regard to public education. Members also visit local schools to help familiarize children with fire prevention and EMS awareness.
