Contained in a refurbished home is the City of Hamilton's Children's Museum. They offer tours for school as well as individuals, with hours based upon the season as detailed below.

April 1st to September 30th: Tuesday through Saturday they are open 9:30am to 3:30pm.
Remainder of the year they are only open Wednesday's from 9:30am to 3:30pm, and again on Sunday's from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

This is a very inexpensive museum. They only charge $3 to children 1-13, and everyone else is $1. There is a family rate for 2 adults + 2 children for $7.

The City of Hamilton maintains a Website at Hamilton Children's Museum that provided information on tours, events and other information.

Directions:
Exit the QEW at Burlington St. Follow Burlington St over the elevated section, staying in the left most lane. Turn Left onto Gage, staying on Gage for 4 lights Turn Left onto Main E and the museum is on the Right.

Hours of Operation April 1 to September 30: Tuesday to Saturday: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm October 1 to March 31: Wednesday to Saturday: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm Sunday: 11 am - 4 pm Closed on all statutory holidays.
