About 1.0 mile northwest along Lemons Mill Pike from its intersection with Mt. Horeb Pike and about 15 feet southeast from its centerline.

The stone is tilted but its orientation is likely intentional since it is aligned with the WSW-ENE direction of the boundary line.

The boundary here was created in 1789 with creation of Woodford County from northern Fayette County. The eastern part of Woodford County became Scott County in 1792.
