Here is a VERY GOOD Webpage about this Cemetery
Discovered in 1869. In 1908, 1500 people lived in town. The town
was deserted in 1930 after the mines ran out.
UPDATE: Silver City, Utah. Not much remains of this old town.
From my understanding the tailings have been reworked. A modern
mining operation is in place. If the road through Silver City is
followed around to the north you will find a recent (70's or 80's
maybe) mining operation that is not currently in use but all the
equipment is still in place including the elevators and the like.
You can go right up to the equipment but it is all posted no
trespassing though it appears few have taken the warning to heart
since vandals and people using the equipment as target practice
have taken their toll. - Brian Snarr.
