Lions of San Marco - Lion Statues on Waymarking.com

These lions are positioned right in the middle of one of the area's older 'high society' neighborhoods. They offer a stunning sight in the middle of many excellent restaurants and shops. They're surrounded by a sidewalk, but traffic moves all around them, so be careful when moving in for an upclose look.

The lions do have a dark side to them though. One of the most infamous caches of the Northeast Florida area involves these lions. Be sure to hunt The Federation MUST PAY! to understand the full significance to geocachers and waymarkers of the area.
